        I rented a car from Steve's and the second day I had it, it began to stall often (it was an automatic, not a manual). I called Steve's assuming they would exchange the car for me at the front gate with no problems. However, they said they had no cars available. Then they told me I would have to drive it to a town about 15 minutes away and drop it there. Additionally, they were charging me for the ENTIRE week, even though I had the car for two days and it was breaking on me through no fault of my own! As you can imagine, this is really frustrating for a American just arriving in the UK and trying to get life sorted out. I would not recommend this company. Try Carl's Automatic.
