Lackford Lakes Barns Review I had business in Suffolk requiring me to be onsite at RAF Lakenheath for 5 days. I drove from Germany to the UK and wanted a place to relax and recharge at the end of each day, and proximity to the air base was also a big factor. I am also a bon vivant who loves cooking more than dining out, so the idea of having a complete kitchen with which to work on dinner each afternoon was a major plus, not to mention an entire house to myself in the bucolic and peaceful countryside of East Anglia. The photographs speak for themselves, but below are a few of the characteristics that really stood out to me. Cottage: Barn Owl Barn * My daily drive to RAF Lakenheath was 12 - 15 minutes each way. Perfect. * The Lackford Lakes Barns was the perfect choice for a daily getaway; so beautiful, calming, and quiet. * The cottage was large, well-appointed, clean, and comfortable. Cozy. If I had to assign a metaphor, I would say it was like spending a week in the home of a favorite uncle. That is, it was familiar in nature, which is, by extension, stress-abating and a source of solace. * The management even left a server of fresh milk in the refrigerator. A real delight in my breakfast tea. * Heated floors, towel rads, dishwasher, freezer, refrigerator, and soft lighting. * Comfortable beds, bedding, and pillows. * Recycling and a commitment to eco-friendly measures. 5 Stars a kudos all around. I will be back. Bravo!
