This house was absolutely stunning, very special, a rare gem and characterful. I booked this trip for my Mum and she loved it. I've never slept so well, it was so relaxing and peaceful, the decor was calm and relaxing. It was an excellent base to explore the area and the beaches. We visited Bamburgh, Holy Island, Berwick, Alnwick, Ross Sands. It was clean and well equipped. The owners were lovely and helpful, when we lost our car keys they even offered to bring a metal detector to hunt the garden, but this wasnt needed as we found them in the end. The views were unbelievable and constantly changing. At 2am the sky changed from different blues to pink and yellow and was lit up similar to the northern lights. You can see the Holy Island causeway, Holy Island, Lindisfarne Priory, Bamburgh Castle, and several lighthouses. A welcome bucket was left with biscuits wine and ale which was lovely, the outdoor space was nice with a bbq area and a large table under cover. The views from the bedroom were lovely, 2 had sea views and it was nice waking up to the sound of the wind in the trees, it's not often you get trees, a garden and a beach view. The TV had Netflix and catch up channels, there were books and games and I absolutely loved the big piano. At home I only have a digital piano so it was nice to be able to use an acoustic one. This house will be difficult to beat and we will be back at some point for another relaxing holiday.
