The food was fine, however the man serving us would walk up and down the restaurant and stop at the end of our table and stare at us. I found this very strange.

Cafe Saffron was my next attempt to replace the Bilash now sadly closed. It was clear that many of the other diners were Saffron regulars. That in itself was enough for me to have high hopes of an enjoyable experience. The attentive service and excellent food were all I had hoped for. Plump nan, nicely seasoned Naga chicken and fluffy rice were my pick from the wide ranging menu. Will definitely return for another helping. Have been back a few times and it is now my go to restaurant. I have tried a variety of dishes but am drawn to the Desi selection. This is a medium spiced curry and I found the lamb particularly good. I think I have now found my Bilash replacement.
