Booked table for 2 for a Sunday carvery, once there I naturally went to order at the bar to be told to no, wait at your table for someone who will take your order, when finally someone did arrive I ordered our drinks, one adult and one child carvery, we were refused the child size portion because "neither of you are a child", I tried to explain my elderly disabled step-mother can't manage more than a small portion and seeing a big meal in front of her just puts her off, to a reply of "tough", so we had no choice but to get two adult portions. After another long wait for our drinks and meal tokens we were finally able to queue up at the carvery station. You can only choose up to two meats where you get served one thick slice of each, you then move down the line where each selection of vegetable seems to have its own dedicated server, who'll ask if you want a portion of that vegetable added or not, unable to do this yourself, you have no control of the portion size. The meat was obviously just the cheapest cuts available that are a combination of tough, dry and rubbery, the veg was well undercooked and in the end we were not able to eat much of anything, it was just absolutely awful. Sure it's great that you seem to employ lots of staff but you have turned what should be a 30 to 45 minute arrival to leaving process into well over an hour and a half, so now I understand why you have to charge 15.99 for essentially a very substandard, virtually inedible carvery.
