If you are looking for authentic English pub history, you will find it here. This place is so old that Shakespeare might very well have had a pint there, too. The interior is cozy and authentic. But, to be honest, no more than the typical Greene King pub. That goes for the selection of beers, too. The food is classic pub fare with the necessary amount of contemporary items added. And the quality hereof is fine without being exciting.

Lovely buzzing pub, our bartender was lovely and the lady serving us was also very polite and efficient, regardless of how busy it was. However the manager was quite rude and dismissive when we tried to order food which ultimately made our experience a bit less enjoyable.
