So, we lived in the basement in MEWS 1 (photo attached). I must say that the room was spacious, the bath too. But... This is MEWS, so the window of the room looked out into a tiny space (photo attached). Probably for the same reason, the cleaning of the room was done very casually. The cups were not washed, sugar, soap, shampoo were not added. The bathroom is a different story. The shower cubicle is equipped with a fixed arm towards the shower door, with only the top hot water faucet working. That is, if you entered the booth, you will be doused with boiling water, if you opened the tap without entering the booth, you will be doused with water, but in addition, the floor outside the booth will also be flooded with water. Bath: comfortable with a flexible shower, all the taps are in working order, but ... there is no curtain ... so you need to wash very carefully, again, so as not to flood the entire room with water. But that's not all. The refrigerator in the room is inserted into the closet and, probably, therefore, it made a thin, buzzing sound that did not stop for a minute. In general, friends, think for yourself, decide for yourself ... We ordered an IMPROVED DOUBLE ROOM, you can easily find beautiful photos of the hall and rooms of this hotel on the website. I am attaching photos that are unlikely to appear in advertising. By the way, I was not too lazy to go up to the second floor of the hotel and take pictures of the signs with the directions of the rooms (rooms)

The reception went very smoothly, staff was very friendly and helpful! You can also drop off all your luggage before check-in and start exploring London! The rooms are very clean with many facilities, such as bathroom with shower and bath, shampoo and shower gel, mini fridge, coffee/tea and biscuits, iron and ironing board, hairdryer. The only (major) drawback was that the bed was much too small. No fun for 2 people! We also took breakfast at the hotel. This is a continental breakfast and not an english breakfast, which is a pity in my opinion. The continental breakfast is also rather limited, for example I missed a scrambled egg with some bacon. It was also nice that you get coffee and tea in an authentic way. The location was perfect: close to Victoria Station, Buckingham Palace a 15-minute walk away, as well as nice cafes and restaurants nearby (be sure to visit Market Hall Victoria!). Het ontvangst verliep heel vlot, personeel was er heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam! Je kan er trouwens ook voor het inchecken al je baggage afzetten en London reeds verkennen! De kamers zijn heel proper met veel faciliteiten, zoals badkamer met douche en bad, shampoo en shower gel, mini koelkast, koffie/thee en koekjes, strijkijzer en -plank, haardroger. Het enigste (grote) nadeel was dat het bed veel te klein was. Voor 2 personen echt geen pretje! Wij namen ook het ontbijt in het hotel. Dit is een continentaal ontbijt en dus niet een engels ontbijt, wat naar mijn mening wel jammer is. Het continentale ontbijt is ook wel eerder beperkt, ik miste bijvoorbeeld een roerei met wat spek. Verder was het wel leuk dat je op een authentieke manier koffie en thee krijgt. De locatie was perfect: dichtbij Victoria Station, Buckingham Palace op 15 minuten wandelen, alsook leuke cafs en restaurants nabij (bezoek zeker Market Hall Victoria eens!).
