Motcombs

The man who served us looked up and down at us, not friendly at all. The chicken tacos had a weird fragrant-like smell to it, the shell was stale? The salt and pepper squid was chewy. After tasting starters we tried to cancel the shrimp burger, but they said we were too late and had no choice but to have it? It was literally a blob of minced shrimp. Shepards pie and truffle tagliatelle was nothing exciting, flavourless. It cost >100. It was so underwhelming and disappointing.

I went to Motcombs last night with my fianc and a good friend. The food and service were excellent and under normal circumstances Id recommend it. However, after the meal I went to the toilet and it was a horror show, paper and fluids everywhere. I mentioned it and decided not to pay the 15% service charge because I was so disappointed. The following afternoon the manager called me to ask why I didnt pay the service charge (the bill was paid in full). I explained what a horror show the toilet was and she raised her voice and questioned me further. I said Id put the phone down on her if she continued to be so aggressive. She got angrier and I put the phone down. I eat out 80 - 90 times a month and Ive never received service like this. Definitely avoid!

Never eating here again. The food isn't seasoned enough. Something to look into.
