If I could give one star I would. I am absolutely appalled by the way this venue has treated us. For those who dont know Deepdale is around 4,000 for just two empty barns with no tables, chairs etc. Earlier in the year we had to cancel due to cost of living and it wasnt something wed be able to afford any longer due to the sheer cost of extra essentials needed for the venue on top of the 4,000. I asked that our deposit be returned if someone else was found for our date. Fast forward to now I have chased this up today where Charlotte replied saying they are having a wedding that weekend of friends and are not taking any money for it. Utter lies. In one of the busiest wedding months no venue would do this. They are profiting from our 500 deposit because they are pretending they have a non paying wedding. Ive been accused of being a liar as the venue have been on my social media (which they did not follow) to see we booked an alternative venue which we could afford, 1,000 for everything which our families are paying most of. If we had cancelled because we wanted to change venue then fine. But we are in a cost of living crisis out of our control hence having to find somewhere thousands of pounds cheaper. I have stated to the owners I will be taking this further if no money is refunded to us.
