Caf Rouge - Center Parcs Whinfell

Slow service, a 'mojito' is just a pop with a mint leaf, atrocious for 8. Check your bill before paying, very sneaky what they do. The waitress doesn't give you the bill until she gives you the card reader. They add a Service charge to the total amount which is already then ready input into the card reader and then they put the receipt down. So if you scan read you miss it. Didn't see it until back at cabin. Service was poor so wouldn't have paid the service charge. Would not go to a cafe rouge ever again as the meals are basic and poor service. Plus make you wait an hour for a table when half the restaurant is empty. EDIT: all the restaurants now add a 7.5% service charge as they no longer accept cash. However every single other restaurant made you aware upon ordering and gave you the bill for review and asked if you wanted the service charge left on or not.

Ricardo was fantastic with a welcoming approach and friendly banter throughout the meal. This made our last meal on site really enjoyable and memorable rather than a sad occasion before we left for home! I'm sure that we will see Ricardo again, adding to his seasonal returning customers and visit Cafe Rouge as a result of his service, being the best we have had at Centre Parcs hands down!

Dined out while visiting Centre Parcs Whinfell Forest. The food was fantastic and I cant give enough praise to Hannah who really looked after us and made it a 5 star experience.

Rubbish experience, food sent back multiple times, food cold (but still managed to overcook it?!) and chips already dipped in ketchup. Service OK, but unorganised and no communication - deposit not taken off and accusations of under payment.
