We stayed in the Oak Framed Barn, and it was lovely. Very peaceful, excellent facilities, so touched at the thoughtful homemade cake, tea, coffee, milk, cereals left for us. Kitchenette is quite small, but useful. Bathroom is a small wet room, found this slightly awkward, but managed fine. Oh, and fabulous views of the Nine Standards from the windows too! We hope to be back!

I stayed at Bollam Cottage whilst walking half the coast to coast this October (highly recommended as the autumn colours are spectacular). It was a home from home... as it is actually my family home! My mum, Elaine, gave me the full BnB experience - tea and cake on arrival, a cosy fire to dry my boots, full (vegan) English breakfast and the most comfy bed. I'll definitely be staying again when I return for the second half of the walk

Wouldnt go back. Notes everywhere saying do not touch and wasnt aloud to use the seating area because of covid even though we were the only guests. Sign out side saying clean your Boots, so we did then got told the drying room was out of action due to covid. Very poor, and rate it in last place compared to all the other places we stayed whilst doing the coast to coast.

Stayed here one night while on a walking tour - best B&B on our route! Room was spotless and bed comfortable. Breakfast fabulous. There was extreme attention to detail in this beautiful B&B - for example, a foot bath for tired walkers! Elaine has her business down to a fine art. Wish we could have stayed an extra day. Highly recommend.

I stayed here at the end of September as a stopover on the Coast to Coast route. The weather had been wet to put it mildly during my days walk so I arrived a dripping and tired wreck. The host Elaine was so welcoming when I rang the doorbell that I instantly felt better. My coat and shoes were immediately put out to dry by the fire and I was served a piping hot cup of tea and a lovely piece of cake. There were some other residents staying on a return visit who clearly loved the Cottage. My room was large and well equipped and whether by luck or judgement( maybe Elaine had seen the weather forecast) there was a big bath in my en suite. Luxury!!!!!!. Great nights sleep and the next morning breakfast was served at a lovely farmhouse table. Delicious and set me up for the day ahead. I arrived fairly broken, I left well repaired. Thankyou Elaine and Bollam. I hope I can visit again.
