By far the worst school ive been to Had complete disregard for students well being. They were all far to absorbed in how everyones uniform looked to actually care about the well being of their students

Awful A year or two ago I jokingly left a one star review simply stating 'awful'. Forgetting about it, many months later, I was pulled out from lessons by two senior members of staff and put under very serious, intense interrogation. A threat of expulsion from the school was implied should I not remove my review. The matter, though a minor part of my time as QES does well to highlight the key problem with the school, which is it takes itself too seriously. There is an ethos among the schools leadership that works to the detriment of providing what could be a superb education for all. Leadership's obsession with the schools image, uniform and pupils need to meet certain criteria is drilled into students and staff alike, overshadowing genuine ways to really help students excel. Students are repeatedly punished for underachieving and not meeting needlessly stringent criteria, rather than being helped to realize the best method of learning for them. For students like myself for whom academic achievement is not motivation in itself, the schools 'one size fits all' approach to education became a paradox of underachievement. Overall I enjoyed my time here, QES is a good school with great grounds, facilities, and a few really great teachers. Unfortunately it is let down by it's leadership.

If there was a 0 star rating that would be more appropriate for this school. Last time I wrote a review I was blackmailed to take it down or they would seek legal action, if you dont like all the bad reviews improve the school. Extremely rude staff who refuse to deal with issues. Been trying to get an issue with students harassing me while I was at the school and after I left sorted and nothing has been done. I wont bother trying to resolve it with qes, it will be the police.
