Very cool little place for you rc crawlers of all sizes , there is a drift track and a grass track for the fast stuff and 10 per person (5 under 16) is worth it , we will be back

I played Notts Hollinwell after 5 days of links golf beforehand and remembered why I prefer heather and parkland courses. Hollinwell has to one of the best examples of such a course. Driving into what feels like a valley down a very long drive to get to the club house you feel like you are entering a hidden course which is protected by a hill of pine trees that frame the course perfectly. We experienced typical early winter weather going from water proofs to short sleeves three or four times during the course of the round meaning nearly every hole was sat under a rainbow at some point or the other. It is such a quiet course that the dark sky leading to bright blue made it a really weird and amazing experience. I played some awful golf probably having over golfed that week but again thoroughly loved my round and was desperate to return to text my skills once more. The condition considering the weather was amazing, greens were very receptive and the fairways in part put some of the links courses we had previous played to shame. On arrival we meet some of the members who gave us a great welcome and provided us with the usual local tips (not that it helped me much). We warmed up on the range and the practice area which again was in great condition. I will definitely be back to play this course again at some point, I would love to play it when the heather is in full bloom, I imagine it would be stunning.
