After being with the same practice for over 50 yrs, I moved to The Croft Surgery at Kirkbride. I can honestly say that all of the staff from reception to nurses to Doctors have been exceptional, professional & engaging. You sometimes do not appreciate what excellent looks like until you are able to compare. A big Thankyou to the whole team at Croft.

I am not a Patient with this Practice but my Mother is. I am absolutely appalled by the way in which she has been treated here. As a former Health Professional herself, she has an extensive knowledge and whilst she appreciates times change, care, compassion and professionalism should only improve over time, not deteriorate. When Mum first went to The Croft Surgery she was told that she couldn't have some of the medications she had been taking for many years and was either taken off them completely or they were changed. These adjustments have been extremely detrimental to my Mother's health and when she tells me that at times she wishes she could be euthanized, there is definitely a problem with her pain management! We wouldn't allow a beloved pet to suffer so why does it appear to be acceptable to allow a (human) family member to!? Fortunately my Mum knows the medications she is on and why she's taking them because whilst she's been getting her Prescriptions dispensed by the Practice there have been 23 errors with her medicines. There's a review from 2018 that states the Practice 'has gone to pot'. It seems like nothing has been done to improve the situation. Is poor Medical Treatment the price that has to be paid for living in a village?
