The concern people have often spoken about with this post office is how relaxed it can be and how unprofessional certain staff can be also. To read the replies to the other reviews here i think is worrying. The 'owner' as it states seems to literally dismiss any issues that customers have. 'its not my fault' isn't the attitude you'd expect to see from an 'owner' that is looking to improve their service. Personally I'd say the post office has gotten better. But several times I, just as others I know for a fact, have been wiring while staff have been chatting, making a brew... Taking their time and closing early. If I was the owner i'd look into this, as opposed to correcting your paying customers reviews.

To be honest it feels typical of Kington post office so felt it's time to add a review. The staff seem totally unaware, particular Anne, by which I mean the pace they move is worrying. It's Christmas time, afternoon, and there's a cue going round the corner outside while it's raining... and certain staff are going slower than you'd expect on a normal day. I'm not expecting anyone to rush themselves. But a reasonable pace should not be much to ask for consider it's the job... And also there's not another post office for a quiet a distance, so being mindful of the fact people are relying on you would make a difference. ..it took you six months to reply.. says it all.

I made a mistake with a prepaid item.. Whilst I thought I was constructively and calmly trying to help sort, the woman assistant said "I work for the Post Office" as her way of putting me in my place. Her colleague smirked clearly appreciating the sarcastic put down. Well the two rude, arrogant women in the Post Office have lost me as a customer forever. As a former customer service director of FTSE 100 companies, neither of these two would be sering customers after that show of poor attitude. They need to learn humility and to understand when someone needs help the appropriate thing to do is to help rather than mock or belittle. Why would you spend a penny there? I have to be honest I have been a regular in that Post Office, and have not been impressed particularly by the service - but not unimpressed enough to write a review. Until now. I see the owner makes comments after each review - well perhaps instead of platitudes or suggesting I go work there and see how difficult their job is the owner needs a converation with the two women involved today about attitude and customer care. I don't hold my breath for a particularly positive response.
