Only given overnight notice of wanting to start works next day, this was very inconvenient but agreed as wanted job completed. The two workmen who came to prepare groundworks did a very competant job however the same cant be said for tarmac laying gang who left completed job very quickly and it was then that the damage etc was discovered. Three brick pillars had been knocked causing brickwork to break off, two pairs of garage doors were scraped/chipped as was some fencing, no sweeping up had been done, tar footprints were left on new edging pavers as well as on new patio slabs leaving a trail of tar marks to/from water tap. Workmen did not sweep up on roadside where they finished job.
Photo`s available of all the above issues.
Compensation in the form of replacement garage doors, repairs to brickwork and cleaning of tar areas were offered or money knocked of cost of job invoice, could not contemplate the possibility of more inconpetant workmen on property so went for money off original invoice.
This job was supposed to enhance property with its shiny black tarmac entrance but if you look closer you will see all the new damage caused the day the tarmac gang visited and did great damage showing no care and attention to their work. Extremely disappointed.
