To summarise the main failings of CAM on my home adaptation: - tiling the bathroom wall took 3 attempts and all the discarded smashed tiles were left in the toilet pipes causing a complete blockage - putting the back door in took them several tries, required a trimmed kitchen worktop and is now still not straight so the door closes quickly when left open - due to lack of care when removing front door brickwork, they later took replacement bricks from my front wall to replace smashed original bricks - render necessary to cover mistakes at rear was badly applied, so quickly cracked and blown and had to be removed and replaced. Also I wasnt asked or informed ahead of time about it being done - bathroom leak necessitated an emergency plumber and replacement shower pull cord unit - rubbish left under bathroom floor caused damp - toilet base not sealed or waterproof - ramps & paths not straight so were hanging off and had considerable height differences and gaps, necessitating checker plates which werent fitted - under-sink gap not wide enough for wheelchair access - hole in front window caused by building works - plug socket on stairs sticks out and was originally left hanging out, unplastered - plaster around moved light switch was cracked and broken - under hob supports were only necessary due to poor quality worktop used and were installed bent out of plumb and not cut flush with other cupboards. Once snagged to be flush, they emailed to say they would no longer expect them to support the hob - cracks in kitchen ceiling plaster from building work - water pooling in shower room due to badly-fitted tray so whole wetroom floor had to be taken up and replaced - shower unit and piping not watertight - smashed corner of front room skirting board - lost new front door keys and old keys for back gate and garage meaning all locks had to replaced - fan isolator switch placed in completely inaccessible corner and had to be moved - caps left off new upvc doors front and back - upvc doors not packed or balanced - general finish to plaster work edges /corners and joining to existing is very poor. - painting generally poor finish and not to specification of primed undercoated and glossed. Top of door to bathroom was not finished - flooring to bathroom floor was not cleaned - shower curtain fitted too high, not split-curtain so it does not fit the whole shower area. Some fixings missing, not weighted type. - shower rail not secured to ceiling correctly - front door brickwork cracked and missing pointing, joints not fully pointed to full depth - laminate flooring and trim badly fitted - electric shower filthy inside so overheated dangerously - ignored repeated emails asking them to remedy the situation - claimed the work would take 5 weeks then left after 16 weeks with all of the above problems They did almost everything entirely wrong and in my opinion were probably dishonest in many regards. There are many other problems which I'm less able to prove so will not state here, but suffice to say, avoid this firm.

Beyond incompetent and verging on criminal. The council hired CAM to provide accessibility home renovations for my partner, who is disabled. CAM literally (and I mean LITERALLY) did not do a single thing right. A few of the more outrageous examples: when retiling the bathroom, they threw all the old broken tiles into the waste gully behind the house, so the toilet started backing up. They also left all the rubble from the old bathroom floor under the new floor, including the old floorboards, and didn't seal around the shower, so the cavity started collecting damp. The safety rails in the bathroom weren't attached securely, which could have caused my partner to have a serious fall. Parts of the kitchen cabinets they installed literally just come off in your hand. On top of everything else, they took double the amount of time they said they would. A new contractor has now been hired to come fix the damage they did. Avoid like the plague. Negative five stars.
