The Nightingale unit care staff and nurses have been incredible since day one of my dad moving in and the stepped going above and beyond through the covid-19 lockdowns and stepping in for families when we weren't allowed to visit! And still continue to do so! To give such a high standard of care through such difficult circumstances blew me away I can not fault a single member of staff and thank you will never be enough! Over the years I have seen first hand some of the difficult situations the staff have to deal with with some of the residents and they have always dealt with them in a caring and professional manner! The staff have created a warm welcoming environment and the activities and entertainment they have on are fantastic even I was happily surprised that my dad joined in and even had a little dance on ve day haha! The only single downside is the administration side as they lack empathy and people skills when speaking to family members and they need to remember that family members are already struggling with the decline of there loved ones through dementia! I again want to finish this review on a high point I wish I could sit and and name every individual and why they are fantastic but I would be here all day but all the staff on Nightingale are AMAZING!! and on behalf of my dad you are all FANTASTICO!!

Staff are poorly paid. Constant changing rota to meet manager's requirement so no work life balance. Bullying from top to bottom. No wonder there is poor care given.

The Administrator, Daisy, from this Care Home has made the experience of having a Relative who suffers from Advanced Dementia, during Covid, even worse. This evening I was email denied an access visit to look at my extremely ill Dad through a Garden Window?! This is pre lockdown and there would have been absolutely no contact, merely looking at him from a Garden through a closed window. She has no personal skills, and if you are unfortunate enough to have a Relative in this Care Home, She is the Person you have to speak to to try to arrange any communication with your Loved Ones. She has no sympathy, no personal skills, zero compassion and is the worst Person to be in his role I could imagine. I have to say, the members of Staff who look after my Dad are second to none and the quality of Care is good, but this experience has been disgusting and so disrespectful during an already upsetting situation. Communication with the Care Home you pick for your Loved Ones is extremely important, especially at the moment and for that reason I could not recommend this facility until they remove this rude Person from a Customer/ Family facing role. As you can probably tell, I will be taking this as far as possible, for all those who may also have elderly relatives in Castle Keep, who have also been treated dreadfully by Daisy.
