My dad was in this care home for around a year and it was terrible. The staff could not have cared less and due to covid we never even went inside. Visits were through a window - which I know could not be helped - but the staff were uninterested and uncaring. We spoke to other family members who said the same and were trying to get their loved ones out. My dad suffered countless water infections - presumably from not being changed regularly. They gave my dad 4 weeks notice to find somewhere else without speaking to us first. The new manager was clearly not suited to the role. My dad could be challenging and this clearly was an inconvenience. However this turned out to be a blessing in disguise as he is now in a wonderful care home where the staff are absolutely amazing and it's clear - although his dementia has worsened - that my dad feels completely at ease with all the staff and that they care about the people they are looking after. It is a complete contrast to the Hollies and I only wish we'd taken him out sooner. They didn't even give us his belongings when we left. As far as I am aware there was an investigation ongoing when my dad left about the appalling standards but we were never informed of the outcome.

I would not recommend this care home. My wonderful, gentle 92 year old father in law suffered a dislocated shoulder and severe bruising whilst in bed, which could not be explained by the staff. HRI alerted the police but the police investigation ultimately proved inconclusive. We obviously did not allow him to return there on his release from hospital and found him an alternative home where he was treated with the care and respect he deserved until he passed away last week. Please avoid at all costs!

I would not reccomend this care home the staff are terrible, uncaring and cold. My dad ended up in HRI with sepsis caused by bed sores at the bottom of his back and being left sat in his own urine. I was upset to see he arrived at the hospital wearing dirty clothes and he smelt unclean. My dad had dementia and was still able to walk but after this heartless cruel neglect he never walked again and he had massively deteriorated. He was taken out of this "care" home and I reported them to social services and the CQC but the manager Janice resigned before she had to explain herself. The staff should realise it could be there parents or even themselves in a care home one day how would they feel being treated the same way they treat others? My dad lived on in a vegative state that had been caused by staff neglect which has been absolutely heartbreaking to see him suffer like that it still affects me to this day
