The Hull and East Riding Sports Club

On March 1, we held a wake here for my father after it was recommended to us by a friend. It turned out to be the perfect venue for a large family gathering. The location was ideal, there was ample parking, everyone loved the food and it was a boon to have a large well-stocked bar. I must give a special mention to Tom, the manager, who was so helpful thoughout the planning of the event. Nothing was too much trouble. He consistently gave excellent advice and was on-hand and hands-on thoughout the afternoon. Were planning to have future family gatherings here to celebrated more happy events. It was a real find!

Went here for a family funeral lunch. Had a little trouble finding it as its tucked away but good old sat nav helped Nice warm atmosphere with a bar. Tea and coffee provided. Food was good with chunky chips, nice sandwiches and crispy sausage rolls. Unfortunately, only chicken dippers and no pork pie. The quiche didnt look very appetising either. There was quite a lot of food though and plenty of cake but obviously just supermarket bought! Would recommend the venue but work needed on the food provided hence only three stars.

Lovely place, nice decor, nice and friendly good choice of lunch menu, very reasonably priced, lots of free parking

Great local club, with purpose built badminton courts, 5 squash courts. Friendly atmosphere with good choice of food and drink in the bar.
