The St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, was constructed 1996- 1997, replacing an earlier porta cabin church from when the parish was established in 1973. The new modern building was designed by architect Vincent stienlet of Newcastle. The Church has wheelchair access, disabled toilet and loop system for hearing aids. The church does not have a lot of windows on the outside being lit by a large window in the roof. Good sized car park.
