Midlands Koryukan

I joined about 7 months ago and haven't looked back. I've met some lovely people there with same interests and everyone is so passionate about what we do; it is also a great environment to de stress in. Everyone is very encouraging and we all pick each other up to move forward and build new skills. Sensai Jeff and all higher members who help take classes are fantastic and you can literally ask them anything about the subject, they know the answers and will give it in a way you will understand.

This dojo oozes happiness and laughter from the kids,they learn an amazing martial art taught by a teacher who's dedication and passion is nothing like have seen in a long time ! Adults who attend learn a skill that they can carry forward in real life scenarios, friendships are forged by smashing the pads and learning kata and drills in a safe and practical way, throughly reccomend this club !!

The only regret I have about Midlands KU is that I didnt join sooner!Excellent and patient teaching has helped me understand the principles and then practical applications of the techniques. I really like the wide variety of strikes, kicks, throws and holds taught as it feels very practical rather than a rule bound sport type system of Karate. Its a great learning environment created by Senseis Jeff and Martin which has encouraged me to push myself. The friendly club atmosphere means I have increased in confidence , fitness and flexibility and it definitely helps me to de stress. I was apprehensive as joining Midlands KU was my first attempt at martial art but the enthusiasm at the club is infectious and I was quickly made to feel welcome. Would highly recommend to beginners or seasoned martial artists.
