The Linhay

A lovely spot and a beautiful holiday retreat. James and Sarah were very welcoming and helpful. The Grove Inn is 400 yards up a (very steep) hill, but easily walkable. Food there is great and very decent selection of ales. A number of footpaths around to walk the dog, although you need to be on the road for a hundred yards or so to reach them and they're steep too. Nearby South Molton has pretty much everything you need for supplies and beaches are about 40 minutes drive (Instowe is the best in our opinion). Highly recommended

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautifully renovated traditional stone farm building that is cosy and very comfortable with a couple of quirky and fun features ... the ladder light fitting is unusual but totally in keeping. The location is rural, picturesque, quiet and peaceful, a perfect spot to relax and unwind, but equally well situated to visit the coast and explore Dartmoor, both within an hour's drive (be prepared for a few narrow and winding roads). The local village is a short walk up a steep hill but the uphill effort is rewarded by a visit to the local pub "The Grove Inn" which is very welcoming, dog and child friendly and serves great food and a decent local pint.

Fabulous barn conversion in a rural spot. The house has been beautifully decorated by the owners living next door. The house has everything you need for a holiday break & the owners were very helpful. There is a nice pub a fairly short walk away but otherwise it is quite remote. A car is essential to reach other nearby towns & villages for supplies.
