I came for an eye appointment today and contacts consultation just to be turned away because I can't sign up to a GP because I don't own Photo ID... Then the lady at the desk just glared at me... What gives?

I took my nephew to his eye test to arrive and be told the optician was off sick which was so annoying as I had taken time off work. The lady said they had tried to call me but I had no missed calls and I know they have my number as i received a reminder the day before. Today the rebooked test my daughter took him there was a major traffic jam on route so she called to explain and was told that was ok as long as she got there within 10 mins of his appointment. She arrived within that time frame and was then told the optician had gone home as they were too late. When she explained she had called and what she had been told this was disregarded and she was told that calls go to a call centre . The staff were totally unprofessional not compassionate to the fact she had been caught up in traffic or thankful she had called to let them know. It was obvious the optician had not even waited the 10 mins she had been told. After these experiences none of our family will ever use Spec-savers again there are enough better opticians we can use and get proper professional treatment and service.
