After having some bad experience at the willows nursery we decided to change to gaywood first steps and I'm so glad we did. My son absolutely loves going to nursery now. staff are absolutely brilliant. Children spend a lot of time outside which I think is great. My son has learned A LOT within a couple of months at FS. The only downside is location. very heavy traffic around school drop off/pick up times. But totally worth it . Thank you so much !

Great nursery. Staff are amazing wish the boys could stay there instead of going up to primary. Staff so friendly and helpful. I'd recommend to anyone

The nursery facilities are generally good and the staff are friendly. They do however charge a fee (currently 5) if you are a few minutes late picking up your children. They also have 'free play' which means that your child has constant access to their outside play area, all year round, regardless of the weather conditions. They only keep the doors shut and the kids in when it is really bad weather, but otherwise let the kids go in and out as they want to and although they do have wellies and waterproofs, this does not prevent the children getting wet or dirty during session, so it is necessary to send them in with several changes of clothes. If your child has a cold or is under the weather and you do not wish them to go outside to play, then you are advised to keep them off nursery until they are better.
