Really not happy with this service! Refused to type for one of my surgeons after initially accepting. I was told they were too busy and his dictation was a mess. However were happy to type for my other surgeons (who had a clear English accent). Actually felt that they were picking and choosing and almost insulting. Would not recommend

After finding and applying for a vacancy on Indeed, I joined WeType as a typist in September 2018 - and Im so happy I did! First and foremost, the way WeType treat their typists is what makes me so thankful that I found them. My manager (Viv) and WeType Director (Tracy) are so friendly and approachable. They are always available for help/advice if needed. They keep in touch almost every day which makes me feel part of the team, dispelling any feelings of isolation that can come from working from home. Apart from in the first couple weeks when I was still finding my feet, I have never been short for work. The jobs come through on auction and you can accept as many or as few jobs as you'd like. The medical dictation is high quality and identical to that done in any NHS or Private Sector clinic or operation note etc. If you get stuck with any dictation, Viv and/or Tracy are always available on instant messenger which results in an almost immediate response, enabling you to swiftly move on with your work. The guidelines for typing are clear; there's no faffing about with complicated rules - just straightforward, clear, and interesting dictation! The system used to download and upload work is user friendly, and all your completed jobs and invoices are automatically logged meticulously on there - no need to keep your own spreadsheets to work out what you have done/ what you are earning. I am always paid on time directly into my bank account, and each month's invoices come through in a PDF document that is broken down into individual jobs and pay rate/total. When typing the actual clinic letters, the system is straightforward and easy to use with only a short bit of practise. However, if you do make any mistakes, the team are so friendly and approachable it makes fixing any butter-fingered mistakes quick and painless! Outside of WeType, I have a part-time job as a Medical Secretary in an NHS Hospital. I work for WeType around my NHS schedule which is one of the biggest benefits for me. I feel so lucky to have found and joined the team at WeType as I highly doubt any other type-from-home company would be as personable and organised as the lovely ladies at WeType. In summary, I would recommend WeType to anyone looking to take on a self-employed role as a medical typist and looking to earn good money, and I would (and do) recommend the company to the consultants I work with who do private clinics and are miles behind in their dictation.
