Had an appointment today after a scare from a breast cancer 15 years ago thankfully everything was fine but I would like to say how nice it was to be in a calm environment with very caring people would recommend them to anyone

We have been visiting the Genesis team at Kings Hill for the last 18 months and the whole team have been fantastic from the reception staff to the medical team. They have been patient caring and compassionate, and always had time to talk and listen on what, at times, can be a very daunting experience. The out of hours support service is invaluable to know you have help and advice 24 hours a day. We have used 24 hour line and found and it a great help and support. Cancer is terrible disease but the understanding of the staff with a cheery smile have always made the battle more tolerable. The environment is very welcoming and doesn't feel like a hospital. Whilst our battle with cancer will continue I know we will have the support of the chemo nurses who have become more like friends. If you have to battle cancer I can not recommended highly enough Genesis Care, Kings Hill.

This is a very very special clinic. They deliver top class care on EVERY level. The staff are truly amazing and they really do care for you on a very personal level. It's such a friendly environment and calming too. It's simply perfect. I have just finished my treatment and would highly recommend any future patients to use the facilities here. It is a WONDERFUL clinic. They have a charity there called Penny Brohn that takes care of the holistic approach to cancer care. I've tried both reflexology with Sarah (who's amazing!) and accupuncture, and there are people available to talk to if you need them for extra support. I would specifically like to mention some of the nurses by name. Nicki, Anna, Emma, Stephanie, Jenny and Anne-Marie are all angels. A special thank you to Jane Goodwin who's been with me every step of the way, and to Jane Patony for her support too. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would.

Starting October 2016 I was on Capecitabine for breast cancer, this failed during the third cycle. I was then put on IV treatment for 6 cycles. This started on the 29th December 2016. By the 1st of January 2017 I was feeling exhausted and unwell, also unable to swallow solid food. I rang the helpline as this was a bank holiday. I spoke to a Chemo nurse in Milton Keynes who assured me these were all perfectly normal symptoms and I probably had oral thrush and to get my GP to prescribe something, I would then feel a lot better in a few days. A few days later I was admitted to hospital very ill with Neutropenic sepsis. How could a nurse 100+ miles away possible know how ill I was over the telephone? The aftercare from Genisis is virtually non- existent, even more so out of their normal working hours. My condition is worse now than before I started treatment and Im 15,000 worse off. From now on its the NHS for me at least they are on hand 24hrs a day to deal with any situation.
