I've been a long time member but had to stop due to intense studies and after many months I've now rejoined. I understand there's new management. When I joined 2 out of the 3 treadmills were out of order and coming near the end of my first month they are still out of order. The chilled water machine outside the gym was also out of order but was subsequently fixed. After 4 days absence I returned to find the pool and jacuzzi out of use and I assume it was for maybe all or part of that 4 days I wasn't there. The pool remained out of use 2 further days that I attended although currently I don't know if and when it's back in use as I haven't been for 4 days again (will update). The day I forgot to bring my water bottle I found the water fountain at the pool was also not working as it was simply drizzling when you pressed the button. The sauna and steam room doors do not latch closed so 1. there's always a tiny gap letting out the heat and steam 2. the door occasionally bounces back open when someone tries to close it and walks away unaware so you can often find the sauna door wide open and had lost heat when you want to use it. It's a very easy fix that hasn't been addressed for years. Then the steam room thermostat setting is too low so you have large gaps of the steam room just being a room with no steam while you wait for the temperature to drop so far down for the thermostat to kick in and turn the steam on which then shuts off again very soon due to the setting anyway. Lastly, the latches for the shower doors in the (male) changing room seem to have broken off while I was away and it seems they've just accepted that's how they'll remain from now on. Not to mention the three shower cubicles go from high water pressure to low water pressure from right to left when all of them are in use (i.e. water pressure is not even). Most of these are easy fixes but the will and effort from management seems to be absent. Overall, there is a sense that effort is not being put in at this club and it's highly neglected. The place feels like it's in a state of disrepair and is allowed to remain that way. For a fitness club in a Crowne Plaza hotel these standards are low and I won't remain a member for long.
