There is a suitable sized free carpark, entrance to the site is also free. Tickets for the train journey is reasonably priced. There is a small play area for children and a picnic area.
Staff are friendly and helpful. The gift shop and snack bar are priced okay for what you can get which is a small variety of hot and cold drinks, I've creams and basic snacks such as crisps and sandwiches.
The train ride is lovely, it's only short but it's nice for kids. The driver is happy to take questions and let kids have a closer look at the train.
