Loved this small church. Visited after a visit to Chastleton House, as it is next door and volunteers open it for teas and coffees (and home-made cakes) to offer drinks (the house does not) and fundraise at the same time. The church has so much history! Beautiful stained glass windows, tombs from 1500s, beautiful floors, carved details that match the house...very interesting place.

It was amazing having tea and cake outside this church when I visited. Remarkably lovely surroundings.

Built between 1607 and 1612, for Walter Jones, who had made his fortune from the law, although his family were originally Welsh wool merchants. The estate was bought in 1604 from Robert Catesby, although his residence was demolished to make way for the new house and no traces of the original building on this spot remain. The house is built of Cotswold stone, around a small courtyard, called the Dairy Court.

Visited here when visiting the house next door as we were hungry. Ladies in there were very friendly and sociable. Enjoyed some lovely coffee cake myself and my grandma enjoyed some couscous, tomatoes and quiche. Their range of cakes was very large and there were also some sandwiches on offer. They sold squash and tea as well, everything was a good price. Learnt that the money was for charities and community projects which made it all the more better. I'm afraid I don't know if there are any services at this church but if you're visiting the house next door and you're hungry, I'd come here!
