In July 2022 I did 121 Macro & Closeup day with Ross in Devon at a number of their wildlife trust reserves, fabulous nature reserves with varied wildlife to choose from. I had a fantastic day with Ross visiting a number of locations to get the best from such a lovely area. His professionalism, skill, knowledge is unbelievable in the area & wildlife to ensure you always have the best from the day & area, but it's his skill in picking the best locations and to advise, setting up your camera and help you create the composition you are after and to ensure you come away with an image you would be proud of. His knowledge of cameras is fantastic, but his knowledge in selecting the right area and wildlife to get some lovely images is outstanding. Ross is a really fabulous guy to have a wonderful day with learning about macro & closeup images but also to capture an image you would be proud of to place on your wall at home. I would highly recommend Ross either doing a workshop or a 121 day, but most of all he ensures you get the best experience from the day and will feel after looking at the images you have captured something to be proud of.

As well as being a superb photographer, Ross is an exceptional tutor. I have done group workshops with him through Dawn 2 Dusk and this time I opted for a 1-2-1 specialising in macro photography of insects. Ross took me to excellent locations with lots of opportunities to photograph different species and provided superb teaching in both fieldcraft and photography technique. I have mobility issues and he was careful to take this into account, ensuring safety at all times. I came away with many images I would never have achieved without Ross' excellent teaching. He's also a very friendly guy and great company for a day out shooting!
