5 The Glade

Lovely clean and comfortable chalet set in woodland 'Glade' with birds singing a cheerful welcome. Parking adjacent to chalet and outdoor table and benches in place for those evening bbq's. The chalet is tastefully decorated with lots of thoughtful touches such as welcome pack of tea/coffee milk etc.; free wifi, dvd player with extensive dvd collection, well stocked kitchen, comfortable bed and soft clean towels. OS maps available for lovely scenic walks around the area - Sandymouth bay just down the road and other beaches also nearby. Local pub (The London Inn) in Kilkhampton village, just a short walk away with friendly staff and delicious home cooked food. In the other direction is Bude with a stop off at The Little Pig Farm shop just down the road from the chalet, for all-day-breakfast on the way. Will return now we have found such a super home-from-home chalet to stay in. Thanks Aaron for help with the booking.

Stayed for a couple of nights in May. The tea/coffee/milk/sugar on arrival was a nice surprise, and our dog loved the dog biscuits! The area the chalet is in on the site was nice and quiet. Could also park right next to it which was handy when it was tipping down with rain... Bude was one road for about a 10 minute drive. Followed the instructions to turn the radiators on as we got chilly - had to turn them off in the end as we got way too hot. WiFi was better than what we have at home! Being able to log in to our Netflix was a bonus too. The bed was super comfortable - actually took a look at the brand as we want the same one for at home. All in all a nice break in a clean and tidy chalet. We'd visit again.
