I have been renting a flat through Homeview Estates for the past 7 years and have received tremendous support throughout my tenancy. I was always able to get in touch through Zoe for help and they have been prompt to fix any issues with the flat. Really recommend their services as I never had an experience as pleasant as with them.

Homeview left us with nowhere to live with under a weeks notice, and has cost me hundreds upon hundreds of pounds in the process. Me and other young professionals had sought to rent a house from Homeview and had paid a holding deposit and undergone strict referencing, jumping through various hoops throughout. Once complete we had almost no contact with Homeview as our main agent had gone on holiday without an update. The remaining contact went almost a week without email response, only responding to phone calls and with half assurances that the lease was to go ahead, not confirming in writing via email until pushed to multiple times. As the proposed start date got closer, they confirmed it would have to be delayed by a week (even though Homeview themselves pushed us earlier with the initial date, and made us bid 250pcm over asking). We had written and verbal assurance that this was due to furnishing delays and no mention of anything else. Finally with less than a week before the now-delayed move in we still had no tenancy to sign, just assurances. And on the Thursday before, when key collection was confirmed for Saturday, Homeview notified us the property could not be let. This was supposedly due to the legal status of the landlord renting to sharers, as a clause in their lending agreement forbid it. I was left with mere days to find suitable solutions for all of our belongings, many of us with holidays or an unpaid day off on the Monday, and a van hire for the day. Homeview was horrendously vague throughout the process and would not clarify on any details, and even tried to assure our worries even though it is now clear that delays with the property were obvious on their end. Homeview evidently failed to do due diligence on the ability for the landlord to even rent the property until days before move in. I am having to move hundreds of miles away in the meantime, with all of my belongings in London in a storage unit I am footing the cost for. In response we have had an apology and no more, with them even commenting that they had to incur costs too, as if this could equate to the personal losses we have incurred during a massive cost of living crisis. I would not recommend anyone to do business with Homeview in the future.
