I dont recommend this office for family matters. Bad professionalism performance, bad communication, no client interests at first. We first got in contact with the office November 2022. We have contact the office as we know of a great Brazilian Solicitor whom worked there. The Brazilian solicitor was on holiday and a recommendation was pass it over to be seeing by another solicitor whom works at the office, the person whom saw us was Juliet. On the day of the meeting, sometime in November 2022, an interpreter should have being arranged by the office on the day, we didnt have one. I have to end up doing the interpretation. After that we (myself and the office) have endless exchanged emails, phone calls, a lot of information asked twice, hours and hours of translation, however I end up doing the interpreting for the sake of the client. Two months later, 13/2/23, without notified the client in person, after refusing to replay our emails and text messages, we come to find out the legal aid was refused, (By the way the Brazilian solicitor still great, she was the one whom steps in to find out what was going on). We were told the application for MO was too late, why Juliet hasnt told us when we went to see her in November? Why Juliet you minimised the abused our client suffered by saying what she is asking is way to further? Domestic abuse is domestic abuse, doesnt need to be physical, you should know better. Bad practice. Ive also notice, the legal aid application form was done for a much higher case, we were applying for a MO not family legal battle that would cost 25.000? However, now the Client whom is a survivor of domestic abuse was left without legal aid, a solicitor, further representation in court. More stress and trauma were added to this family, unnecessary. Be careful, dont trust your vulnerable clients within this office.
