The hotel was dated, there was a terrible smell both in the room and in the corridors - but worse was the scent being used to mask this smell. The room was far too hot, with no way of cooling it, despite having the window open. The bed was uncomfortable, with the children's beds also being hard (and one covered in crackly sheets which made a noise like a rustling crisp packet every time my son moved). The bath for the shower is not even a squared side bath which maximises the space for someone to stand - it is a soaker bath with curved sides and minimal flat area to stand. There was no hot water in our room, and the shower was like a watering can over your head. It was really disappointing. The one positive was that you allowed pets. As we arrived late at night, we didn't have time to mess about contacting reception to move rooms etc, we needed to just get our young children to bed. We did complain say reception on checkout ahead they advised they would issue as e-voucher but nothing has been received yet....
