An honest, truthful review of Prestige Preservation Ltd. We contracted them to repair cellar joists at our Grade II * listed home. I am under no doubt, based on the way they have conducted themselves they will respond to this, take no blame but we feel obliged to review to ensure anyone considering them for this work is able to make an informed decision. Work - replace 9 ends of joists in our cellar with a product called Bower Beam which sleeves over the end the joist and sits onto the wall plate, to inject treatment into the other joists & part of one floor had dropped - to raised/packed from underneath. On the first day, one very pleasant lad arrived. He commenced cutting away the joists in the cellars without supporting Akros. He then tried to raise the floor that had dropped by banging from underneath for several hours, unsuccessfully. Akros should have been used, wound up and packers inserted. We immediately contacted Prestige to express our concern. They acknowledged and said they would send someone with lad the next day. Why on earth would they send someone without the necessary training or knowledge to work on a property as it is dangerous with a potential catastrophic outcome should the floors collapse.? Their Director's only comment was it was unfortunate We had very real concerns about the quality of work due to that experience. They demanded the balance of monies due immediately or no warranty, and we explained that we wanted the opinion of a Structural Engineer to ensure work was correct before balance was paid. We employed, at our own cost a S/E and his report was damning of their work. Instead of trying to ensure their customer was happy, their aim was to discredit our S/E and refused to accept any of his concerns. They claimed, as we had used him previously, he was biased. Lee Alderman, Director sent letters dismissing our concerns together demands for payment. He never once picked up the phone or offered to come out to discuss, when this was mentioned, he stated, you never asked This makes it clear that customer satisfaction is not their priority. We paid the bill, and we will instruct another company to remedial their work. They threatened with County Court or Debt collection (they have a Debt collector ready which leads us to believe this is not a one off) They refused warranty unless we paid on the dot. We do not consider their warranty worth the paper it is written on based on the way they have conducted themselves. A truly dreadful company to have to deal with.

We engaged Prestige when we had a survey done for a house purchase which brought up damp in some areas. They conducted a survey for us and then, a few months later having moved into the property, they completed the repair work. Throughout their communication was clear and consistent, including when we made some changes. When the work was done they were professional, clean and completed the work to a high standard inside the timescales expected. Really good service throughout!

Had my damp proofing works carried out this week by John and his son Mitch and where do I start.. an absolutely fantastic duo who were on time every morning, didn't accept one tea/coffee or bacon sarnie(!), and managed to get a difficult job finished in less time than expected. I seriously cannot thank the lads enough for their impeccable service and professionalism throughout and will be calling back in the near future for further renovation works. Fantastic value and a top, top team/company. Thanks again Prestige :) Services: Water damage-related mold removal, Water damage-related cleanup & repair

I am really happy with the service and quality of work received when Prestige Preservation helped fix the water issue I had in a cellar. Anthony came to do the quote and was helpful, friendly and very knowledgable- leaving us with the impression we were dealing with a firm that would look after us. Karen and Wendy in the office always call you back and also do their best to help you. Mitch turned up on time every day, and carried out a great job. He worked really hard and took time to ensure the job was carried out as I wanted. Even when the work took longer than expected due to more water being in the cellar the whole team worked around me to ensure the job was completed. I really cant praise this firm high enough- they have carried out an absolutely great job .
