Worst chips ever, after trying one they went straight into the bin. Never again!!

I've had fish and chips here on many occasions but the last few times have not been great. The chips are soggy and undercooked and the batter on the fish is very soggy and needs to be cooked longer. I will now be going somewhere else.

I'm writing this in the hopes the good people at CC's will ready it. Everyone has a place that represents home. When you return from your travels, stumbling out of Kiddy train station with your vision blurry from the rain after having failed yet again at life's adventures, there was still always one sure and steady thing in life - Captain Cod's! The world around you changed, you changed, but at least you always had good old reliable, greasy, captain cod's, embracing your tastebuds and arteries with oily goodness. I've been eating their fish and chips since I can remember myself. I moved to Greece, and still the one thing I always want when I return on trips to visit family. Greece, guys! Land of feta and mezze, and it's Captain Cod's I want when I come back! So far so good. But this year I don't know what they've done. They've changed something and the change for me who ate it again after a few months was drastic and jarring. Look, I'm not an expert. I don't know what it is you've changed, but it's not a good change. I don't know what you were frying it in before, whether it was beef dripping or train diesel from across the road, honest to God I don't even want to know. I just want you to go back to whatever it was you were doing this time last year, what you've been doing FOREVER from back in the day when the display outside was that huge giant cod in fairy lights (remember kids?) and keep it that way. Captain Cod's was perfection. Don't mess with it. Leave it as it was. Do you think Da Vinci looked and Mona Lisa and thought how about if I give her a monobrow? He didn't! Just go back to how it was. I don't want a healthier Captain Cod's, no one wants to live forever anyway.
