I love this little shop, I always manage to find a great gift for children in my life. Many times Ive told the age of the child and the owner has shown me a selection of appropriate toys. Lots of wooden and educational gifts. Highly recommend and supports a local business

As Christmas approaches and we are now allowed to shop, I feel it is very important we remember those independent businesses who managed to reopen their doors despite the challenge of staying afloat after closing for several months. My children are in their 20s now but I still remember how exciting it was to find shops like these and toys with a nod back to more traditional times. Last week I got an opportunity to throw back the years. I was asked to pick up a present from this wonderful shop. And my experience was complete, as I also met last weekend, the recipient of this gift. It is amazing how a Green pencil with a dragon on the end can make a child's day light up. Toy Box is a beautiful little shop with an owner who is passionate about toys. It is situated between No 1 Horsemarket, Kettering Food Bank and the entrance to The Yards. What they all have in common is about sharing some joy and adding some sparkle to our days. Bringing certainty in times of uncertainty. If your bus is ever late at Horsemarket pop in or why not just get there for your bus a bit earlier? And it is 2 minutes walk from the Swimming pool car park. Kettering may have lost Marks & Spencers and a few other clothing retailers but in Toy Box, No 1 Horsemarket, Bean Hive, Burger Mania and Mugs Coffee House there are plenty of reasons to travel here and visit the town centre.
