Wicksteed Court Care Home

Wicksteed Court is a converted town house and physically is a little tired. What makes it special is the staff and the way they work to help every resident have the best experience possible. My mum's stay was always going to be relatively short. She was recovering from an accident when she broke her neck. From the start, the team at Wicksteed Court Care Home made a real effort to welcome mum. It was clear that they wanted to support her in the best way possible. No care stay will be without issues. What was impressive was the response - the willingness to accept her requests. Throughout, it was clear that there was continuing desire to ensure my mother was comfortable as her circumstances changed. My mum built up a good personal relationship with the carers with whom she had most contact. However, she made it clear to me that it was the combined effor of the whole team that helped make the stay as pleasent as it was, to the extent that, when she left, she made a special point of giving token gifts to everyone.

I've carried out works in this care home for years now, and have always found the it a lovely care home, with attentive owner and well trained and friendly staff members.

The care home have booked me to take photos of the events, residents and staff on several occasions. I love that they care to find new ideas and activities to bring to the home. The staff are really lovely and it was great seeing how the residents are happy and comfortable there. Looking forward to visiting again in the future!
