I cant express how amazing counselling alliance are! My counsellor, Rachel, is honestly the most helpful, supportive and encouraging person Ive ever met. Shes helped me grow and develop in ways I wouldnt have known I ever could. Pushing me to challenge my behaviours and thoughts in a safe space. I feel whole again after arriving in the beginning just a shadow of my self. I cannot explain how grateful I am that I ended up going here. Changed my life.

Like many people being in lockdown magnified emotions and brought with it for me the culmination of a lifetime of challenges and events that had led to me suffering with anxiety and all of the side-effects that come with it. Externally I am seen as a strong personality who is in control (so I'm told), but internally I often feel far from it. For once I decided to make some time for me and was lucky to be paired with Hayley at the Counselling Alliance to try and help me to unravel the "spaghetti" in my head. The sessions were flexible and felt more like a chat with a friend in a safe space. Hayley quickly understood what I needed and helped me to be able to recognise my needs and gave me tools to use when I felt that invisible pressure that it was all getting too much. In my first session Hayley asked me what I wanted to achieve - my response was a simple one " I want to enjoy the good in my life without looking for the bad all the time". I can't praise Hayley and the Counselling Alliance highly enough, and my advice is don't put it off or consider getting therapy as being self-indulgent. You deserve it and those around you will also notice the difference.

An incredibly professional and friendly service. I felt I was able to speak freely, in a safe space, without judgment. I was paired with Justine who put me at ease immediately. The guidance and advice I have received during my sessions has been life changing and I cant recommend the Counselling Alliance enough!
