Nigel is an excellent teacher and has been teaching my children for 5 years now. He is very patient with my teenagers, and they have passed grade 6 . Nigel is extremely knowledgeable, and will look out pieces for my children, either for a special event or when they have heard something, and they want to know how to play it. Great teacher.

I've been learning to play the acoustic guitar with Nigel for 4 years now, and can confidently say he's the best you'll find. I've managed to study up to a Grade 6 standard and have received distinction grades in every exam! As I am also focusing on academic studies, he provides a supportive and relaxing environment in which to learn all the necessary skills. Five stars!

Working with Nigel has enabled me to progress from simple strumming to complex pieces requiring techniques I never thought I would be able to master. His knowledge of music theory has helped me understand music and make it a more satisfying experience. He is always encouraging and very patient, explaining at each stage of the learning process.

I came to Nigel for lessons as someone who could already play but needed help with applying theory to my playing. He totally understood what I required and has been methodically working through the theory that supports my learning at a level that is just right for me. The lessons are fun and informative and I always leave inspired to go and practice. I can recommend him as a tutor wholeheartedly, whatever level you are at the lessons will be pitched perfectly so you can become the best musician you can be.

Nigel has been teaching my daughter Bethany for four years now (please also read her own glowing review). He has always been unfailingly helpful and supportive, and is very knowledgeable on all aspects of the guitar and music generally. He has also managed to teach me to Grade 3 standard on the ukulele, which is certainly testament to his ability as a teacher! I can't recommend him highly enough.
