Lakelovers (Keswick)

I have used Lakelovers a number of times over the years but sadly no more. Tried phoning about a concern with our stay and got cut off twice today as soon as the call handler picked up the receiver. I didn't even get a 'hello'. I was issued a case number for a complaint after I raised it online and have heard nothing back even after chasing for 2 weeks. Be prepared for little to no customer service. All well and good if the property you book is clean and in working order but not do great when it isn't. We paid over 1500 for a week away.

Booked property for a week with Lakelovers.,.key was supposed to be left in key safe outside property...Key was missing...we called every single telephone number on Lakelovers website including emergency number....no answer from anyone... drove to the Keswick agency. Closed with note on windows directing us to different location in Keswick.. Drove to new location and saw note saying that it was closed from September 28th.... this was October 1st.... property (Skyfell House) cost just under1000 for the week...paid to Lakelovers and we were unable to gain entry. Absolutely dreadful customer service and very stressful. Fortunately the next door neighbour to Skyfell House had telephone number of the owner of the property who was on the way to London..owner then rang cleaner to bring spare key.. Heard nothing at all from Lakelovers and would strongly advise against using them We rang their other offices in the area and not one answer at three pm on a Friday afternoon
