The atmosphere is amazing. The owner makes you feel welcome with a smile in her face, really difficult to find someone that friendly and get such a good service. I love the place, it looks like a mountaineering coffee place, with comfy sofas and armchairs. The cakes are awesome too. We really recommend it.

Popped into this quirky and homely cafe this afternoon for lunch and an afternoon read. Very different from the tourist vibe in other Keswick cafes, this is a place where you can really relax, have some banter with the locals, and enjoy the delicious pies and soup of the day all made from scratch. Comfy seating and something on the walls to amuse or interest just about anyone. Run by welcoming hosts who go out of their way to make you feel comfy, well fed and watered. A hidden gem. And unnecessarily cheap too.
