We found a gem the hosts Sarah and Colin were fabulous they could not do enough for us , the B and B is located only a 5 minute walk away from the town where there was plenty of nightlife and only a short walk away from Friars Crag and the theartre by the lake where the views were amazing the B and B was spotless and the room we got was room 4 it was a large room with everything we needed it had nice views from the front window , breakfast was good all 3 mornings and you could help yourself to drinks, cakes, water and milk all day long . I would 100% recommend staying here and if i ever visit again i wouldnt even look at another place it would be this one

I was short of somewhere to stay. And found Portland House had a vacancy, but unfortunately the owner wasn't in when I knocked on the door... But a couple staying came and passed my details. Within 10mins the owner phoned me. And offered me the room. Room was very clean with a big on suite the owners where very professional, and very easy to talk too, and full of the joys of the day, and very welcoming Breakfast was fantastic, I got the full English breakfast, but there was loads of things to choose from.... service was fast and professional, I'm book in again this weekend and I'll definitely use again in the future with no hesitation
