The shop has a great selection of high quality meats and delicatessen products. Jessica was very helpful and even recommended pairing some of the delicious wines they have for sale with our meat selection. Highly recommend!

UPDATE I've now been visiting for over a year. I keep returning because of the quality and consistency of both produce and service. How often can one say "I enjoy visiting this shop"? In these days of pre-packed, plastic-wrapped and machines-to-take-your-money....it is rare to find a shop that provides friendly, efficient service wish excellent quality products. Don't be afraid to ask advice or ask for something that may not be on display. These are professional, trained butchers who understand their product and are always happy to advise if they can. I cannot understand why some reviews found the staff to be rude. I suspect this is probably a misunderstanding. Maybe the complainers visited at a very busy time and staff were brusque or didn't stop immediately mid slice and fawn appropriately. I don't like to be treated like I am a returning best friend. I appreciate good manners and am also prepared to wait until a member of staff becomes available. I was greeted upon entering with a pleasant hello from several staff members even though some were busy with butchery. Within about 30 seconds one staff member asked if he could help. Truly a quality butcher's. Not a supermarket where you expect to pickup your plastic meat package within 10 seconds of entering. Do they charge similar prices to other quality butcher's ? Yes. What would you expect. Lovely, well presented selection of wines with helpful labelling. So that you can easily choose a wine to compliment your meat. Lots of organic items. Cheeses, cooked and smoked meats. Nibbley things to tempt the eye and the taste buds. Bacon pickle/jams. Pork pies. Huge artichoke hearts. Not open on a Monday. A Tradition of truly fresh vendors. Sadly Google prevents me from awarding more stars.
