I am writing this review many months on from my dismal haircut, as Ive not been able to talk about it until now. I have photos to prove everything stated. Having suffered from post-partum hair loss, I summoned the courage to visit what I thought was a trusted hairdresser, one that I had visited prior Saks Kenilworth. I booked in with the director, someone who had cut my hair around 3 times before (pre-covid). I had long, past shoulder length hair when I went in and asked for a few inches off (to keep it just below the shoulder), I did not ask for a fringe or layers. At the time, I thought the man cutting my hair was distracted and cut my hair very, very quickly. He advised that I added in some softening around the face and once blow dried and styled, I did think it wasnt exactly what I asked for but sometimes it can take a few days to get used to any haircut. However, once I got home my husband noted how choppy the layers around the back where and I assumed (wrongly) that the humidity had got to my hair on the way home and it had picked up some frizz. The next day I washed and attempted to style my hair (something Ive been doing for well over 20 years) but realised something was very wrong. There was literally chunks of hair missing, cut across, choppy and totally uneven. It was a Saturday evening, the hairdressers in question was closed and I needed this fixing before an event that week. Therefore, I posted on our local social page a photo and asked if anyone had any space the follow day to fix this. I note that as this point, I did not mention Saks or any identifying factors. To say that I was overwhelmed with responses from hairdressers offering to fix the cut for me, for free, was in double figures. They were shocked at how terribly it had been cut. I then started receiving texts from the salon director (massive GDPR issue, as I was told a worker there recognised my name and contacted him). I was told that I needed to come back into the salon for a consultation before I could have a refund. Again, the post was not slating them (didnt even mention them, I was looking to pay someone else for the fix), and I couldnt have contacted them at that point as they were closed. After numerous texts being told he could fix it (so admitting the cut was badly done) to being told I was not able to style my own hair correctly. I had to threaten to report them for harassment should they contact me again. They were not prepared to offer any refund. I visited 4 independent hairdressers, and they all told me I would need my hair cut into a long bob (cut to the length of the shortest layer he had hacked at) to make my hair look anything resembling ok. I reluctantly did this with another local and amazing hairdresser, now Im in the process of growing my lovely hair back. I contacted Saks HQ and was told that complaints are dealt with at salon level so the director who cut my hair would be dealing with it see my issue? Please do not use this hairdresser, who fronts himself as The Director I cannot talk for the other stylists, but its a shame that his conduct and unprofessionalism reflects terribly on them also. Services: Hairstyling, Blowdry

I went to Saks for the first time a couple of weeks ago. I needed my hair cutting but have had some bad hairdressers in last few years so wasn't expecting much. Kieran however was lovely. I had a wash, cut blowdry. The wash was amazing, best conditioner massage I have had in ages. He cut my hair really nice and styled with loose waves. Currently expecting a baby so couldn't book next appointment but in a few months when I get a few hours treat I will be booking again. Thank you Kieran for renewing my faith in hairdressers and in enabling me to again enjoy having my hair done. Services: Hairstyling, Blowouts, Shampoo & conditioning

I've been going to Saks for around 2 years now and I love it! Imogen is my hairdresser, I think even when I move away I'll still come back to see her to get my hair done! Love my results. I've also had my hair coloured by Kieran who was great!! Everyone's always super friendly in the salon. 10/10 Services: Hair coloring, Keratin treatments, Blowouts, Shampoo & conditioning, Blowdry

I have long luscious curly hair. James really understands how to cut it to the right length, reducing the bush, to give good curls, volume, and bounce. Plus we have great conversations.
