My first visit to kendal last summer I come across this shop just wanting to buy some kendal mint cake , when I noticed they sell different flavours of tea and did a black chia tea that smelt of a similar tea I just had to buy , and it tastes just as nice to what I normally buy , made my weekend

This place is like a tardis inside, with the shop on two floors, & the restaurant seating on two floors & toilets on the top floor. Definitely not easy to get about if you have difficulty in mobilising or in a wheel chair. Unfortunately the high chair was absolutely dirty, which required scrubbing with spray & a cloth, before putting our daughter in. For drinks we chose to go for a flat white & a hot chocolate. Both tasted great, definitely some of the best drinks hot drinks we have had recently. Whilst waiting for food, a lovely member of the public sat on a nearby table, but unfortunately a rude member of staff came to move her, due to her not noticing the sign upstairs to be seated, but to be fair to her I didnt even notice this, so maybe the sign could we more prominent instead of it blending in with the surroundings! For food, we had 5 Spice Butternut Squash, Walnut Quiche & a Turkey, Cranberry & Brie Sandwich, both tasted great, definitely one of the best quiches Ive had. One of thing to improve is the sound coming from the downstairs pot wash/staff area, as we heard staff having a moan about a rude table!
