        A fantastic, traditional cobbler. My lady friend lives in Manchester, but she always brings her shoes or leather goods to John's very interesting shop in Kendal when repairs are needed. Thank goodness there is still someone to keep alive the shoe-making tradition for which the town was once world famous. Who can forget 'K' shoes? (The 'K' of course standing for Kendal!)
