Fantastic traditional old word pub. Good range of beers and sensibly priced food menu. Two small lounge areas so be prepared to squash in when busy. Latest visit still a good pub but dogs on seats including one licking the table top as the barman watched would stop me ordering food.

Quaint old fashioned pub with a querky layout. The staff seamed friendly but the prices seemed high, but I guess that's the way things are going in this economic crisis. I believe they now do food, which I confess I've not tried, but two gents who were there at the time were complimenting the staff after their food. Also of interest there is now some outside seating at what I understand is one of the only public houses on consecrated church land.

Great pub great owners great location! Heart of Kendal, on a nice corner street :) the owners are absolutely lovely people and really want to make the experience good for you. They managed to accommodate a group of 30 of us at a last minute notice and kept the pub open for an extra hour and a half for us!! They're amazing and I recommend going there for a drink next time you're in Kendal. It's ALSO dog friendly. ;)
