Planet South Lakes - Planet Windows

We had a conservatory built by planet 12 years ago and we have been very pleased with it all this time, however we had a couple of glass panels blown (steamed up ) which you would expect after at this age, I would like to make prospective customers aware that Plannet do not carry out any maintenance /repairs after the guarantee period. I was very disappointed to learn this when I called especially since I had recommended them to friends and family.

Ive had problems with my new door firstly the glass at the top of door leaked had to be resealed. The locks arent the best and now the bottom runner of the doors just fallen off!

Just had new windows fitted by Darren and Adrian. The fitters were brilliant. No mess. Fitted the windows quickly and were nice to deal with. Planet have been great at communicating throughout the process. The quality of the windows are very good. All my neighbours have used them and found them a good professional company to deal with. I can highly recommend them despite some previously awful reviews.

We purchased a conservatory a few years ago and within 12 months it was leaking in. One of the windows was also full of condensation. I contacted Planet and they came out and replaced the window glass and resealed outside of the conservatory. It still leaked in and when I contacted them again they refused to help. I have paid for another UPVC specialist to repair the conservatory who said that it has not been sealed correctly and trims have been either been missing altogether or of a poor quality allowing water to leak in through the windows and frames. Really poor quality and customer service. Would absolutely not use again.

Everything planet windows touches turns to mould!!! We had two doors, 3 windows and bi-fold doors fitted over 2 years ago. The problems caused by the fitting of their doors and windows is ridiculous. They did not seal the windows and doors so moisture gets through and every thing they fitted gets mould around it. We have asked them to come out so many times which they have eventually, but they've not finished the job. We've got to the point now where we are just going to seal them ourselves, and live with the wonky bent doors! We have since had the rest of our windows replaced by mirage windows and doors, and what a difference. Friendly, reliable company, who actually know how to fit windows and don't send cowboys out! Never mind the fact they leave pieces of wood with nails sticking upwards which I nearly stood on whilst holding my 4 month old baby after they'd left the property. So if you are looking for new windows and doors avoid planet windows at all costs and please go to mirage windows and doors who provide excellent service!
